Activision accidentally releases subscribers e-mail addresses.

News is cirulating that Activision has accidentally forwarded personal emails of some hundreds of gamers to recipients of a recent customer service update.

On January 18th Activision sent out a customer service update for owners of Guitar Hero III for the Wii who had signed up to receive a replacement disk.

Kotaku.com and Consumerist are both reporting that, in one of the e-mails they received, “860 recipient e-mail addresses were listed in the mail’s ‘To’ field”.

Those who were affected by this mistake can voice their concerns to  Activision’s Business and Legal Affairs, and Privacy Policy department at (310) 255-2000.
