Use the Rock Band Drums on your PC

If you have been looking for a way to use your Rock Band drums on your PC, your search is over.

A Mr. Andrew Rudson has released a neat little application, titled “Drum Machine”, that will allow users to plug their Rock Band drum set into their computer and use it like the more expensive electronic drum kits you can find at music stores.  The major difference being that using your Rock Band drum set is cheaper - given that dedicated electronic drum sets range from $200 on the cheap end to over $1000 for the higher end sets.

Like the dedicated electronic drums, this application allows you to assign individual sounds or “samples” to each drum pad.  The program comes pre-loaded with a few drum samples, but you can add more samples in .wav format.

Also built in to Drum Machine  is the ability to record your drum “sessions” and playback.
