What if Tom Petty played Guitar Hero at the Superbowl?

Real “Guitar Hero” Tom Petty played a fantastic set at Superbowl 42 on Sunday. He opened up his 12 minute set by playing “American Girl”, and following it up with a medley of “I Won’t Back Down”, “Free Falling” and “Running Down a Dream.”

As mentioned here at Console Hero, he did not play the Guitar Hero game, but we created a mock up to display that we think would be an accurate representation if he would have.

We did a perusal of search terms and found quite a number of them related to the rumor of Tom Petty playing Guitar Hero at the Superbowl. Based on our referral logs, quite a few of those querys led to first time, and hopefully repeat, visitors to Console Hero.

Once again Superbowl organizers, I hope you’re paying attention!
