Is DJ Hero on the way?

According to Trademork.com, Guitar Hero publishers Activision have registered the trademark for the name ‘DJ Hero’ in relation to “computer game software and related instruction manual sold together as a unit; interactive video game programs; computer game discs; downloadable software for use in connection with computer games; video game controllers; interactive video game comprised of a CD or DVD sold as a unit with a video game controller”.

If Activision does go ahead with this into an actual production phase we will be quite happy, but we had our hopes up when Activision registered ‘Drum Villian’.  Still waiting…

Of course this wouldn’t be the first video game to ’simulate’ DJ’ing, who here remembers Beatmania for the PS2?  Anyone?  We’re also hoping that Activision does a better job than Konami.
