Guitar Hero: Aerosmith to feature Drums and Microphone?

This is strictly a rumor at this point, but we’d like to present some arguments both for and against the rumor.

For:

Here is the quote from the Best Buy Website’s game synopsis;

“This adventure for the amazing Guitar Hero series lets you drum like Joey Kramer… and belt out vocals like the legendary Steven Tyler. Unlike the real band, you won’t have to endure years of touring and endless hours on stage. Just pick up your instrument and play, or put the mic in your hand and sing”.Take that synopsis and mix in a little Mike Griffith, President and CEO of Activision Publishing, who gave a cryptic hint at an analyst meeting earlier this month talking about upcoming games mentioning clues like “headlining” bands and new hardware innovations. Against:Of course with a price point on the game of $59.99 we don’t expect it to include a drum kit and a mic, but we wouldn’t be too surprised if the game had singing and drumming capability. We would be surprised if it was compatible with Rock Bands peripherals given the catfight between Activision and Harmonix over controller compatibility. Perhaps we can expect to see Activision stand alone Drum Sets and Mics soon?
