We Need Your Help - Guitar Controller Guide
By Jorge Campos on Mar 16, 2008 in News
We’re putting on the finishing touches on the first edition of our Guitar Controller Compatibility Guide and we’re trying to get as much information in before the actual release.
The main focus is (obviously) guitar compatibility, but with a focus on unlicensed and 3rd party guitar controllers as well. On top of the compatibility, it will feature articles, information about products to assist with modifying your guitar, products that can help with compatibility, and more…
But we do need your help!
Getting information on most of the guitars out there has been fairly easy, but we’re finding it difficult to get some of the information that we’re looking for. In particular we’re looking for good quality pictures of the actual product boxes, and while we have been able to get information on the most recent versions of the guitar controllers, there are some that have been rereleased that have updates to allow them to work with most of the games but the earlier versions did not - and for that we have almost no information.
With Console Hero being a hobby site for all of us, we don’t have the funds to go out on a purchasing spree to buy up all of the guitar controllers available to test them, which is why we’re turning to you. MORE INFO AFTER THE BREAK
For all of the “current” models and versions, we’re looking for box shots, serial numbers, and sku numbers.
For all of the “older” models we’re looking for compatibility - as well as whether they will work with some of the known adapters - in addition to everything mentioned above.
If you’re able to help, please e-mail us at guitar@consolehero.com
Here is a list of the 3rd party controllers that we will feature in the first edition, sorted by manufacturer then model name;

uhh…. when is this guide coming? All I know right now is sticking with the LP gives me wireless and dual compatibility… but a guide to help me rock out harder on different and possibily more interesting guitars would be cool!
