Suffering from mono? Here’s a free faceplate!

Owners of Guitar Hero III for the Wii who were affected by the early disks that only had mono sound, and that had sent their disks in for a replacement, are starting to get a nice surprise in the mail.

To make up for the hassle that the Wii owners went through, Red Octane and Activision have been sending a free faceplate, unexpectedly, to those who had to send their disks in.

The faceplate that was sent out to customers is the Golden Eagle faceplate, which will soon be released on the Red Octane store.

Here is the message that was included with the package;

Dear Valued Activision/RedOctane Customer,

You recently received a Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock Wii replacement disc. To show our appreciation for your patience during the re-mastering and manufacturing phase of Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock for the Wii, enclosed is a complementary Guitar Hero faceplate from Activision/RedOctane.

If you have any questions or need any additional support regarding the re-mastered Wii disc, please don’t hesitate to contact Activision Customer Support at www.activision.com/support. Once again, thank you for supporting Guitar Hero.
