It’s just been announced that on top of suing Activision, and retailers of Guitar Hero, Gibson Guitar’s Corp. is now suing Harmonix, Viacom, and EA.

Harmonix has just announced next week’s Rock Band DLC, the Mega-Ultra-Super Boston SIX.
6 master tracks by the super group Boston will be available. The songs are;
“More Than a Feeling” (Master)
“Peace of Mind” (Master)
“Smokin’” (Master)
“Rock & Roll Band” (Master)

Gibson Guitar Corp., based in Nashville, announced yesterday that it is suing several retailers who sell the popular Guitar Hero games.
Gibson filed a lawsuit in a federal court in Nashville on Monday essentially seeking royalties from Wal-Mart, Target, Kmart, Amazon.com, GameStop, and Toys R Us, on every Guitar Hero game sold.

Dan T (HMXspraynwipe), a senior designer over at Harmonix has posted about a major software update for both the XBOX360 and PS3.

Activision responded to Gibson Guitar’s recent lawsuit in a press release earlier today.
In the press release Activision said they believe that Gibson’s claims are “disingenuous and lack any justification”.
Activisions says that the lawsuit only came about “after it became clear that Activision was not interested in renewing its marketing and support agreement with Gibson”.
