Rock Band Coming to UK May 23
By Tyler Ryan on Apr 8, 2008 in News
Electronic Arts has announced the official date for the UK release of Rock Band. We were close.
Rock Band will be released on May 23 2008 for the Xbox 360, but the Playstation 3 and PS2 versions of the game have only been confirmed for a Summer releasee.
The bad news is that it won’t be cheap. The price for the instrument edition will be £129.99 and will include only the guitar, drums, and microphone but not the game. The game would need to be bought separately for £49.99. So the get the whole bundle it will be about £180.
For comparison, the bundle can be purchased in Canada or the U.S. for about £100.00.
The game, which will be released with nine extra new tracks in the UK, features 59 songs, with further downloadable tracks available from May 27 at a cost of 160 Microsoft points.
Tracklist and more info after the break
We’re looking into whether our earlier announcement of the UK Rock Band exclusive track listing is correct, as the EA press release says 9 extra tracks, but we had 10..
Update: The “Exclusive” tracks are as follows;

• Oasis “Rock ‘n’ Roll Star” (English)
• Tokio Hotel “Monsoon” (English)
• Muse “Hysteria” (English)
• Les Wampas “Manu Chao” (French)
• Playmo “New Wave” (French)
