Red Octane: Guitar Hero 4 release date October or November
By Tyler Ryan on Apr 12, 2008 in News
Charles Huang, vice president and co-founder of Red Octane, sat down with the Sacramento Bee for an interview earlier this month.
We’re just going to cut to the chase here and highlight the most important part of the interview here;
Q: What is happening with “Guitar Hero IV”? Are you in the process of making that now?
A: We are just wrapping up a “Guitar Hero: Aerosmith,” which is going to ship around the world this summer. It is basically Aerosmith songs, plus bands that have toured with Aerosmith, or maybe they’ve opened for Aerosmith or Aerosmith may have opened for them in their earlier days. Right after that wraps up, we are going to do “Guitar Hero IV,” which is set to come out this fall, around October or November.
While we’ve known that Guitar Hero 4 would be out later this year after British band ‘The Answer’ let it slip that their song ‘Never Too Late’ would be part of the tracklist, this is the first real confirmation of Guitar Hero IV from anyone at Red Octane or Activision. The fact that it comes from Charles Huang, we believe it.
