MÖTLEY CRÜE Releases New Single via Rock Band

Sorry Def Leppard, but it appears as though Mötley Crüe has become the first band to release a new single through a video game.
Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that Mötley Crüe’s new single “Saints of Los Angeles”, from their upcoming album ‘The Dirt’, would be released through the video game Rock Band beginning April 15th for the Xbox and on April 17th for the PS3.
Even better news is that they’re releasing the single for $.099 (or 80 Microsoft points), but expect that to be a limited time price.
The release also coincides with the release of the single for airplay to radio stations today as well.
Mötley Crüe’s has a rumored July 8, 2008 release date for its ninth studio album, The Dirt.
