Use Your PS2 Guitar Controller on Your PS3 Games

Guitar Hero fans will recognize TAC as makers of 3rd party guitar controllers for Guitar Hero and Rock Band, and you might also know that they make other Rhythm Game related peripherals.

TAC has just announced a new PS2 to PS3 converter that will allow guitars built for the PS2 Guitar Hero games to work with the PS3.

The PS2 to PS3 converter will work with all of the ‘official’ Guitar Hero controllers, all of the TAC controllers, as well as most of the controllers from other 3rd party manufacturers. TAC has a compatibility list on their website.

At $19.99, this would be a good investment for PS3 gamers who want to use their PS2 guitar as an additional controller, or if you want to play your old PS3 Guitar Hero games on your PS3.

There have been a few adapters released in the past by other companies, but there were occasionally lag issues or sometimes even issues with hammer ons and pull offs. The adapter from TAC addresses these issues as well.
