Ben Heckendorn was recently asked to build some Guitar Hero controllers that would require the use of only one hand. The custom controllers were requested to show at the Games for Health conference, and Red Octane took the step of donating Guitar Hero guitar controllers to Ben so he would have the materials to work with.
Ben came up a flashy looking foot pedal that controls the strum and whammy.
To strum with the pedals, the user needs to raise the front of their foot up and down, and whammy is performed by raising and lowering the heel of the foot.
Head on over to benheck.com for more information and to see more pictures of the pedal, including early prototypes.

It’s funny, My girlfriend and I have PS2 and have Guitar Hero 1, 2, 80’s, 3, Rockband, and 360 with Guitar hero 3, yet i have had to sit ansd watch while everyone enjoy’s playing.
I can’t wait to get this petal. I’ll be posting a video on Youtube the day of.
