Guitar Hero Champion signs deal with The Ant Commandos

Chris Chike, who held the world record for highest score in Guitar Hero, has signed a sponsorship deal with guitar controller manufacturers The Ant Commandos (TAC).

TAC announced this morning that Chike, 16, will act as their new spokesperson in an exclusive deal that will see him promoting TAC products.

“As a competitor, it’s important to me to have the best possible guitar to compete with, so I am psyched to work with TAC on creating custom guitars that serious players can rock with,” said Chris Chike.

Chike is also working with TAC to develop a new guitar controller.  TAC says that the guitar will be designed with the hardcore player in mind.

Chris has accomplished an amazing feat scoring close to one million points on the hardest song in Guitar Hero III,” said Raymond Yow, Director of Marketing at TAC. “Being a record-setting champion of Guitar Hero, he demands the highest quality peripherals so his performance is at its very best. He is the perfect spokesperson for TAC.”

Chike set the record for highest score in the Guiness Book of World Records Gamers edition, attaining a score of 840,647 playing Through The Fire and Flames in Guitar Hero III.

Although Chris recently ‘lost’ the title, he has set a new world record of 975,412, missing only 10 notes, according to scorehero.com

  3. WTF?

This is someone who dedicated a lot of time to something he enjoys, and is now getting recognition for hard work…

This isn’t a ‘who cares’ type thing… so STFU.

  6. I think Phenom beat his Guiness score. He still holds the record for points, but not the official Guiness record, due to lack of Guiness judges present to witness his -10 run.
