Nintendo: Rock Band Gamers are Geeks
By Tyler Ryan on Jun 9, 2008 in News
Alright, so we took a little liberty with that headline, but we’re just a little offended by a statement from Laurent Fischer, the managing director of marketing for Nintendo of Europe.
Edge Magazine(#190) says that, about the lack of storage space for the Wii, Fischer commented that ”geeks and otaku’ were the only people who would want this issue addressed.”
We’ll admit it, we’re geeks. But when will Nintendo admit that the lack of storage space is an issue?
I guess we shouldn’t be surprised at such an attitude from someone who claims there is no such thing as a casual gamer. Perhaps this explains why Nintendo doesn’t seem to understand the Rhythm Game market.
We’ve commented before about our dissapointment regarding the lack of storage space for the Wii and about Harmonix’s lack of wanting to use the Wii’s expandle flash memory.
