Rumor: Moving Pictures to be Full Album Rock Band DLC
By Jordan Shearer on Jun 10, 2008 in News
Though this is a rumor, and a very unlikely one at that, it is still worth noting the news that comes to us from Game Informer’s rumor section.
In the upcoming issue of Game Informer, there is a snippet of news that says that Rush’s 1981 album “Moving Pictures” will be the next full album DLC for Rock Band after The Pixie’s “Doolitle”.
This is very unlikely though, due to the fact that “Tom Sawyer” and “Limelight” from the album are already in Rock Band, and are both covers, and the song “YYZ” (which was featured in Guitar Hero 2) is an instrumental.

I agree it seems unlikely…especially considering the fact that Moving Pictures was done on a single-track master ,hence the cover versions of the previously-released tracks. Really…horrible…cover versions.
I’m an enormous Rush fan and have been for many years. I’ve caught them on every tour since Permanent Waves and don’t plan to stop. I’d love to see Moving Pictures in its entirety as DLC, but I’ll believe it when I see it.
