Both Guitar Hero and Rock Band In Talks for The Beatles
By Tyler Ryan on Jun 22, 2008 in News
It seems like it’s only a matter of time before we will see a Rock Band or Guitar Hero game that is dedicated to The Beatles. We mentioned back in March that Martin Bandier, who heads up Sony/ATV Music Publishing, hinted at the possibility.
A Guitar Hero focused solely on the Beatles is ”something we have talked about and something I’d like to pursue,” said Bandier.
Now we’re hearing that representatives for The Beatles are in talks with both Activision and EA to create a Beatles based video game.
According to a source close to the deal, an agreement could be “reached within a matter of weeks” and “would be worth several million dollars”.
While not specifically admitting to working on a deal, MTV said that they “are talking to virtually every major rock artist all the time about ways we might get them involved in Rock Band.” Activision has declined to comment.

I would love to see some full albums make their way to Rock Band.
If you think about it, a lot of Beatles songs are well suited for Rock Band. They’ve all got pretty interesting drumming, vocals are catchy and fun to sing, and there are more than enough hooky guitar bits.
Guitar Hero seems less suited for The Beatles, though, since it seems to rely on insanely difficult solos etc.

Excellent idea! It’s a good new to all the Beatles fans (include me)
The Beatles have influenced a lot of rock bands, I think that game will be very popular.
