Guitar Hero III DLC for World Tour Now Seems Unclear
By Tyler Ryan on Jun 22, 2008 in News
When IGN released their Guitar Hero: World Tour preview on Thursday they indicated that and DLC that was purchased for Guitar Hero III would not be available for use in World Tour.
Kotaku on the other hand seems to believe that the DLC content will be available.
If we had to guess we would suspect that IGN is correct, but not because we’re playing favorites, but because IGN’s story was more of a full preview. Mind you we really hope that Kotaku was correct.
We’re trying to get clarification and will let you know the final answer as soon as we know.

Heh, Kotaku just misunderstood the wording. Activision means they’ll re-release the GH3 songs with drum and mic charts and people will have to purchase them again.

The plot thickens… I’m curious to see if the updated DLC’s, with the drum and mic charts, will be available when GH:WT is released…

That is great news for Wii owners, since they’ll now be able to play those DLC’s that were unavailable for the Wii version. So for me, it’s great news.
