  1. New update via Shacknews… no music creation tool for Rock Band 2 confirmed (as of now, I think at E3 we will have even more of a final say.. but that is just me being hopeful).

unlike Activision’s Guitar Hero World Tour, Rock Band 2 will not feature any sort of music creation. Instead, the company’s stab at creation will be featured in a future title.

“We really felt like we wanted to do it right,” said Rigopulos. “We’re taking a radically different approach to that problem. It’s something we wanted to take more time to do it right. It’s actually something we’re not focused on in ‘Rock Band 2.’ We’re really focused on other areas related to the music and bringing the community together.”

  2. I love Harmonix and all but they have to stop stealing songs from other games. Every GH and the RB game have stolen songs from other titles, most notably in the GTA series. Just get a list of all the songs from Vice City and San Andreas, you’ll hear at least 2 or 3 tiers of music taken from the series.

  3. Those are the artists that will easily release their work and have all of the MasterTracks available on hand for them to use… it is not stealing… it’s also marketing… who’s gonna play a game with a bunch of obscure songs on it? Those happen to be more popular songs or somtimes the artists don’t want to release anything else
