Guitar Hero World Tour Rumored Songs
By Tyler Ryan on Jul 20, 2008 in News
We’re just going to do a quick update, touching on some songs that have been rumored as of late to be included in the game, but have not yet been confirmed.
We get these from a few different sources and are going to share them here with you.
We’re going to start off with;
Beastie Boys - No Sleep To Brooklyn
During the Guitar Hero World Tour stage show at the E3 conference some of the Neversoft guys give a demo, playing the song Rebel Yell by Billy Idol. However, you can see and hear the guitarist scrolling through the songs and right before he gets to Rebel Yell, the Beastie Boys’ ‘No Sleep To Brooklyn’ begins to play. This happens between 10:55 and 11:05 of the video.

More songs after the break.
Paramore - Misery Business
We’d kind of suspected that Paramore would be in the game when we found out that lead singer Haley Williams would be a playable character in Guitar Hero World Tour. We didn’t know what song might be included until a recent E3 video where they showed Van Halen’s ‘Hot For Teacher’. During the menu screen, we get to see that Paramore’s ‘Misery Business’ is listed.

note: we haven’t been able to see where it shows Misery Business, but some people are swearing they have.
Ted Nugent - Stranglehold
This is another case of where we knew the artist was going to be a playable character, but we didn’t know exactly what song to expect. Between the demo of the music creator and the character creator on the next video, you can hear Ted Nugent’s ‘Stranglehold’ being played on the main screen.

I am a member at Ted Nugent’s personal message boards at his website where he himself posts frequently. A few months ago someone asked him if he was doing any work on the guitar hero games and he said he wore a motion capture suit and that “Stranglehold” was going to be in the game. He also said that he recorded a jam so I’m assuming that will be a guitar battle?
