The Guitar Hero World Tour Setlist (So Far)

ghwtboxshot.jpg

This post comes as a request from one of our readers, plus it will give ZED something to read when he gets to work.

This list contains a total of 44 songs (out of the 85 songs that are supposed to be on the disc). We’ve comprised this list from various sources (and we absolutely did not use the “rumored” tracklist that was floating around, because it was wrong. You might also note that we never reported that “rumored” tracklist - that’s because we had inside info that proved it was wrong… but that will come to light soon enough).

Beside each Artist/Song Title is a link to the Console Hero story where we first reported it which will have more information about where the news came from.

So without further ado, here are the songs that we think will likely be in the game(they have pretty much been confirmed*). This list has 30 songs, plus an additional 4 artists whose song(s) has yet to be announced;

Airborne - “Too Much Too Young” [source]
At The Drive In - “One Armed Scissor” [source]

Ozzy Osbourne - “Crazy Train” [source]
Ozzy Osbourne - “Mr. Crowley” [source]

*By confirmed, we mean songs that have pretty much been confirmed, either by Activision or Neversoft, or in reputable publications or websites.

Rumored Tracks/Artists:These songs or artists are labeled as strictly rumors at this point because the information has not been confirmed by Activision or Neversoft. You can choose to believe that these songs may or may not be in Guitar Hero World Tour based on the info in the links beside the artist/song.

Here are 14 more songs for ya;

Aerosmith - “I Don’t Want To Miss a Thing” [source]
Bad Religion - “Sorrow” [source]
Beastie Boys - “No Sleep Till Brooklyn” [source]
Flo Rida - “Low” (Travis Barker Remix) [source]
Gavin Rossdale - “Frontline” [source]
Grand Funk Railroad - “We’re An American Band” [source]
Joe Satriani - “Satch Boogie” [source]
Lenny Kravitz - “Are You Gonna Go My Way” [source]
NOFX - “Soul Doubt” [source]
Sammy Hagar - “I Can’t Drive 55″ [source]
Ted Nugent - “Stranglehold” [source]
Tool - “Parabola”, “Vicarious”, and “Schism” [source]

Sting or The Police [source]
Buckethead [source]

Some confirmation in this list and some speculation but from what we’re seeing so far, Guitar Hero World Tour is shaping up to have a very nice looking tracklist.

  3. Consolehero is pretty much the only thing that is keeping me sane at work. Every site that I would usually go on, is restricted, so i’m lucky to have found before I started to work.

  4. Plus I gotta thank Tyler Ryan for mentioning me and making me famous. Keep making these awesome articles, so I don’t go crazy at work. I will never get tired so saying that i’m famous on ConsoleHero.

  5. By the way, that tracklist is way inferior to Rock Band’s tracklist. I hope it gets better because I don’t consider buying GH anymore after seeing those songs… Wtf is Flo Rida doing here?! Damn I miss GH2.

    Cyrus | Aug 11, 2008 | Reply

  6. Total agreeance with Cyrus. The only thing now that would make me not buy GH WT would be if they put Fallout Boy or Avril Lavigne or the Jonas Brothers. All it would take is just Zeppelin song to make this tracklist better.

  7. I’m really dying to hear the rest of this setlist. I’d like one big official announcement like Harmonix did with Rock Band 2 please. And also, I’m not crazy about the inclusion of some of the songs already in Rock Band/Rock Band 2, but it’s a minor thing really.

My own whining aside, there are some true gems here. I’m very eager to play Hotel California, Crazy Train, both of The Doors songs, Beat It, Dammit, Stranglehold (If it’s in there for real.), Santeria, The Joker, and most of all, both Jimi Hendrix songs.

  8. *Agrees with Rex completely*

I don’t see why people think the setlist is bad so far.

Oh, and thanks for putting this up. It’s nice to have the confirmed songs in one place. (Besides Wiki)

  9. The setlist is only inferior at the moment because of Linkin Park, never liked em. When we see the rest of the setlist, there’s no doubt in my mind that it will be great.
Putting on Zeppelin song on either GH WT or RB2, would drive sales through the roof.

  10. I’m personnaly against having a Micheal Jackson song and a Flo Ria song on a Guitar Hero game. That’s all.

    Cyrus | Aug 12, 2008 | Reply

  11. Oh, and that idea of having two songs from the same band doesn’t please me either. That’s why I think RB’s setlist is currently winning.

    Cyrus | Aug 12, 2008 | Reply

  12. I can see why your not pleased with Flo Rida in the game, but Michael Jacksons “Beat It” will have Eddie Van Halen on guitar, that’s why it’s in there. Plus, it’ll be fun to sing Beat it.
It would also be awesome if they put Weird Al’s “Eat It” as a DLC, that little guitar solo is pretty sweet.

  13. Shouldn’t RHCP be included on the rumored list?

    SgtDrill | Aug 12, 2008 | Reply

  14. The only thing pushing me to buy GH is the awesome selection of characters and song creator. The drumset looks better too.

I’ll probably just buy RB’s disc.

  15. The head of EA dropped Led Zeppelin’s name when he was listing off groups that are being introduced to young people.

    Forshadowing?!?!

    Mike H | Aug 12, 2008 | Reply

  16. I’m buying RB2, but i am tempted because of The Doors, Jimi Hendrix, and Sublime. So if anything I might buy the disk. I would for sure if they added some Led Zeppelin…

    Ben | Aug 12, 2008 | Reply

  17. They won’t add any Zeppelin. They would if they could, but last I heard, Led Zeppelin hasn’t changed their minds about masters.

    Mane | Aug 12, 2008 | Reply

  18. I know Led Zeppelin will probbaly never give their masters to any company, but we can always dream about playing Stairway To Heaven…

    ZED | Aug 12, 2008 | Reply

  19. Stairway wouldn’t be fun as a band song. Guitar song, yes. But vocals and drums would be doing nothing half the time really. We can dream though.

    Mane | Aug 13, 2008 | Reply

  20. How bout, ‘How Many More Times’ By Zeppelin. Good bass intro or knowing that Zeppelin may never some to RB or GH then how aboot Triumph.
‘Rock ‘N’ Roll Machine’ or ‘Rocky Mountain Way’ would make great songs to go on there.

    ZED | Aug 13, 2008 | Reply

  21. I agree about Stairway. It’s a great song, granted. But it would suck as a GH track.

    Cyrus | Aug 13, 2008 | Reply

  22. Supposably OXM magazine has 30 GHWT songs in it. Most we know about, but there are some new ones in there.

    Mane | Aug 13, 2008 | Reply

  23. “Aggro” By The Enemy
    “Float On” Modest Mouse
    “Overkill” Motorhead
    “Nuvole” Negramaro
    “About A Girl” Nirvana
    “Some Might Say” Oasis
    “Rooftops” Lost Prophets

  26. Low by Flo Rida is extremly lame why are they putting a gay rap song in a guitar hero game??? Even if it is still a Travis Parker rimix it still sucks.

    GHfan | Oct 1, 2008 | Reply

  27. its not just about the guitar in this game thats why Flo ridas Get low is on the game Travis is a hell of a drummer and the remix with the drums is nuts you guys complain about diversity but if it were the same hard rock songs then you’d be bored with that too It’s damned if you do damned if you don’t with you wannabe game critics you’ll still buy the game so shut the whining up and get on with your lonely lives trust me hanging out in your moms basement wont be any less cooler because a rap song has tarnished the holy Guitar Hero Game what next? A black president!
