2 More Guitar Hero World Tour Songs and New Info

IGN has a story up right now about a demo version of Guitar Hero World Tour that they just received that has 8 songs on disc.  The glory of this is that some of the songs they mention had not been previously announced.

Here’s a full list of the songs on the demo;

Bon Jovi – “Livin’ on a Prayer”
Coldplay – “Shiver”
Foo Fighters – “Everlong”
Interpol – “Obstacle 1″
Lenny Kravitz – “Are You Gonna Go My Way”
Michael Jackson – “Beat It”
Linkin Park – “What I’ve Done”
No Doubt – “Spiderwebs”

Coldplay’s ‘Shiver’ and No Doubt’s ‘Spiderwebs’ are the 2 big surprises on this list, while it’s good to finally see Lenny Kravitz’ ‘Are You Gonna Go My Way’ on a list.

There’s also some new info regarding the drums.  By this point everyone should know that the drums are ‘velocity’ sensitive, and Activision has worked that into the game. When you’re playing a song you will see different shaped notes coming down the screen as well which indicate notes that are to be hit harder than normal.  Hit them harder and you get more points.

For the bassists, instead of strumming everynote you can just tap the touch bar.  This is supposed to simulate a slap bass technique.

For those of you who are tone deaf, the vocals even have abeginners mode that will judge you only on rhythm and not your pitch.
