All Games Instruments To Be Cross Compatible
By Tyler Ryan on Aug 21, 2008 in News
Some good news has come out of the Microsoft and Playstation camps.
Microsoft, on their Gamerscore Blog, has confirmed that the instruments in Rock Band 2, Guitar Hero World Tour, and Rock Revolution will all be cross compatible.
And just so you PS3 owners don’t fret, Michael Shorrock, Director of Publisher Relations for SCEA has confirmed on the PlayStation blog that the 3 new game will feature basic cross compatibility for the instruments.
Something else that caught our eye was Shorrock mentioning that they’re “still working hard to ensure compatibility between the Guitar Hero and Rock Band titles currently on the market, and we hope to have an announcement on that shortly”.
oh, and as a bonus “Guitar Hero: World Tour and Rock Band 2 will both support the SingStar microphones”.

Will the Ion drum set be cross compatible though with GHWT…? trying to find out about the 3rd party controls. Don’t want to drop 300 on a kit I can’t use on both games

Does anyone know if GHWT will be compatible with rock band 1 mic and drums?

AGAIN!! Another song from the GTA series (Pretend That We’re Dead) in a rhythm game. There’s a whole library of songs, stop taking them other games. I know that it’s a good song but, come on…

I want those instruments! : D
Anyways, glad that see that they’re getting past their differences. Now if only the Wii could do this.
