More Guitar Hero World Tour Songs Announced At GC 2008

germanflaggc2008.jpgActivision released a bunch of new info about their upcoming games at this years German Games Convention(GC).

GC is kind of like E3, only it is in Germany and it opens up to the general public after the first few days.

As they’re in Europe, they chose the GC 2008 to announce a bunch of European specific songs for Guitar Hero World Tour, and they were;

Anouk - “Good God” (Netherlands)
Beatsteaks - “Hail to the Freaks” (Germany)
Hush Puppies - “You’re Gonna Say Yeah” (France)
Kent - “Vinternoll 2″ (Sweden)
Lost Prophets - “Rooftops” (UK)
Negramaro - “Nuvole E Lenzuola” (Italy)
Oasis - “Some Might Say” (UK)
Radio Futura - “Escuela de Calor” (Spain)
Stuck in the Sound - “Toy Boy” (France)
The Enemy - “Aggro” (UK)
Tokio Hotel - “Monsoon” (Germany)

The songs in bold are songs we already knew about (although just recently), so that gives us 8 more songs!

Activision also announced that the Wii version of Guitar Hero World Tour will feature a ‘Mii Freestyle Mode’.

More info after the break. The Mii Freestyle Mode allows gamers to use their Mii avatars in different ways, from learning how to play the game to creating in-game music and learning to play classic songs.

They also announced that the Wii remote and Nunchuk can be used to play air drums.

Thanks to SpacemanHardy for the heads up!

  2. That’s a rumored setlist. These songs no way confirm it. Only someone from Neversoft or Activision can confirm songs.

  3. I don’t know where else to put this anywhere but here… At Paramore’s Final Riot Tour, there’s a booth set up with GHWT. A few videos have popped up with gameplay, and some songs in Quickplay. We know most of the songs, but there’s two that you guys don’t have on your list.

“Love Removal Machine” by The Cult
    “Heartbreaker” by Pat Benatar

The Cult’s song goes against the rumored setlist, so that’s some good news. :D “Go Your Own Way” by Fleetwood Mac and “One Way or Another” by Blondie were also ‘confirmed’ by an article at FHMonline.
