Rock Band DLC week of Aug 26: Rush - Moving Pictures

rushmovingpictures1.jpgOh yeah…  we forgot to mention next week’s DLC for Rock Band…

Rush - Moving Pictures !!!

This had been rumored since back in June, but we finally got confirmation of it from Harmonix in their recent (and first) Rock Band Community Zine.

Moving Pictures was the 8th studio album by Rush and was also their biggest selling album.

Here is the tracklist;

Tom Sawyer (Original Version)
Red Barchetta
YYZ
Limelight (Original Version)
The Camera Eye
Witch Hunt
Vital Signs

The only question we have is what is the vocalist going to do during ‘YYZ’ as it’s an instrumental piece?

The full album is available for $10.99 (or 880 Microsoft Points), while individual tracks are $2 (160 Microsoft Points).  Look for it Tuesday August 26th on the Xbox Live Marketplace, and on Thursday August 28th at the Playstation Store.

  1. Looks good. Probably the vocalist will have a tambourine or cowbell to tap and if that’s the case then if you haven’t gotten the 360 achievement (like me) for “100% on vocals on expert” then you might have it there.

  2. They said in the forums over on rb’s site that the vocalist won’t be able to play YYZ. If you’re doing a setlist with vox it will skip over and won’t be able to be chosen in quickplay when you have a vocalist.

  5. Since this is the latest article on CH but it has nothing to do with RB, it has something to do with GH, the Mic will be available in the GH Music Creator. Eventhough there are copyright issues it doesn’t matter. For example if the copyright holder complains about a song on GH Tunes then it will be taken off or if the song is offensive it will also be taken off.

    PRETTY F’in AWESOME!

  6. Some pretty awesome DLC. GHWT better have better DLC then they did for GH3, or Activision will fall behind sales.

  7. Well, it’s officially delayed. That’s just the bad news though. The good news is, they’re supposed to be talking about alternative DLC that’ll be released this week. Here’s hoping it’s good.

  9. Since Moving Pictures is delayed, another pack will come out instead of it which will be the Locksley Pack. Songs in pack All Over Again, She Does and Don’t Make Me Wait.

    Anyone heard of this band?

  11. @Larry

Yeah, at least “Love Removal Machine” by The Cult and “Heartbreaker” by Pat Benatar have been ‘confirmed’ through a demo at Paramore’s Tour. See my post on the news before this one. You know, the one about the foreign songs.

  13. “Assassin” by Muse has been confirmed by IGN, but past that, nothing new. I don’t know why ConsoleHero isn’t updating… What’s up guys?

    Mane | Sep 1, 2008 | Reply

  14. They would have at least put up another article stating that the Rush DLC was delayed and the Locksley DLC would be up in stead of it. Maybe there just taking a break, just give them a few more days.

  15. Does that mean I should stop posting information? XP Never!

“Today” by Smashing Pumpkins is confirmed. Bill Corgan is confirmed to be a playable character. “La Bamba” by Los Lobos, “Scream, Aim, Fire” by Bullet For My Valentine, “Our Truth” by Lacuna Coil, and “Prisoner of Society” by The Living End have all been confirmed as songs as well.

  17. Oh thnx dawg ur a real help when you get any new information please post it and where do you find all of your information!!!!!!!!!!!!????????

    larry | Sep 3, 2008 | Reply

  18. “Pretty Vacant” by the Sex Pistols
“Kick Out the Jams” by MC5

Both confirmed. Supposably they’ll be re-recordings as well. (For GHWT btw, not RB. XD If I give information, it’s always GHWT unless I state otherwise.) Also, “Today” by Smashing Pumpkins has been confirmed, which puts “Bullet With Butterfly Wings” into question. Billy Corgan is in; however, so we could see two songs like Ozzy does.

Larry, I usually get my information from the GH Community forums. The GHWT forum there may get out of hand sometimes, but it’s a great place for information.
