Does that mean Zakk Wylde is a boss battle in the game? Cuz rite beside his name it says the same thing is says next to Ted’s name, and we know that hes already a confirmed battle
ZED | Sep 14, 2008 | Reply
Wait a minute… where’s “Low”? Wasn’t that song JUST confirmed? I was really looking forward to playing it… and another thing– only TWO guitar battles? With all the real guitarists that are unlockable, only TWO guitar battles? That’s a shame.
Fish Monolith | Sep 14, 2008 | Reply
Odds are Zakk is a boss. And, since Jimi got two songs, he might be a boss as well. He can’t exactly make a boss battle post-humorously, can he? I’m opposed to him being a battle, but it’s the most likely choice. If that’s true, Ozzy might be a vocal boss. (One song to battle, the other is an encore.)
“Low” was never ‘confirmed.’ Just rumored. It’s possible it could be DLC, or not in the game at all.
Overall, a good setlist. They could have done better, but I’m well aware they could have done worse. So, instead of looking what could be in, I’m looking at all the wonderful songs that are in the setlist. I like about 49 songs out of 84. (Not counting the two battles.)
Mane | Sep 14, 2008 | Reply
Oh, okay. Thanks for the info, Mane! BTW, I agree with your statement about the setlist. I was only looking forward to a couple of them. The setlist WAS kind of disappointing.
Fish Monolith | Sep 14, 2008 | Reply
Two things that annoy me about this list is that they removed Bullet With Butterfly Wings… I was really looking forward to playing that… Second of all they’ve taken 12 of Rock Band 2’s Songs & put them on here, they could’ve put some other songs which weren’t on RB2 on this instead of them to make both games more different
FT | Sep 14, 2008 | Reply
Only a few songs should be the same on GH WT and RB2, there is a whole awesomely huge rock library out there so only a few songs, not 10+.
And first time in the GH series that there isnt a Black Sabbath song on the Game Disc. Really hope they are a DLC at some time, hopefully a full album
ZED | Sep 14, 2008 | Reply
Not really going one way or the other on the setlist. I’m glad low isn’t on it, and I’m looking forward to at the drive-in, 311, and mars volta, but the only reason I’m even going to get this game is the song creator. If your favorite song isn’t in the game, make it. Haha.
feartheskybass | Sep 14, 2008 | Reply
Thank God “Low” didn’t make the list.
Cyrus | Sep 15, 2008 | Reply
Why is everyone so glad “Low” isn’t here? I, for one, like T-Pain… besides, are you angry that the Beastie Boys are in? I mean, they’re rappers, too, right?
Fish Monolith | Sep 15, 2008 | Reply
They are but they are Rap Rock, and have you heard the song No Sleep ‘Till Brooklyn, that song is awesome.
ZED | Sep 15, 2008 | Reply
Band on the Run. Baaaand on the Run. And the first one said to the other one there, I hope you’re having fun.
Jordan Shearer | Sep 15, 2008 | Reply
Love the setlist. They really did a great job of spanning a lot of genres - but to be honest, 311 being in made it a win for me.
With Black Sabbath, I guess they figured with 2 Ozzy songs, it might have been too much of a good thing.
Another thing, I’ve heard an awful lot of people complain that GH “copied too many songs from RB2″. Just because RB released their setlist first, that doesn’t mean that the contracts were signed on the songs first. Chances are it was pretty simultaneous… so one would be just as correct to be down on RB2.
(Though I’m with you, FT, on missing BwBW that song rocks!)
SgtDrill | Sep 16, 2008 | Reply
Really disappointed here.
I mean where’s there ANTHEM? Their ONE song people are going to but the game for?
I don’t see it.
Matt | Sep 16, 2008 | Reply
I agree with the guy above, even though his grammar isnt the best, I understand what he’s saying. There’s no one song that identifies this game. There is no anthem. RB2 had “Let There Be Rock”. The songs that I see here that would be fit for the anthem of this song would be “Hot For Teacher”, “Purple Haze” or “Crazy Train”.
ZED | Sep 17, 2008 | Reply
i love purple haze i hope they do the woodstock version.
the anthem is likly to be crazy train
Brent | Sep 17, 2008 | Reply
Weird. I’m going to buy it for “Beat It”. That’s my anthem, and I’m sticking to it. Of course, I would have liked the Fall Out Boy version, but that’s also pretty good.
(P.S.: Don’t call me a troll because of my musical tastes. Please, it’s not necessary.)

Really, is this necessary? This shouldn’t be coming out, this just means your going back in gaming, instead of going forward. Just more money in their pocket.

Does anybody else hope that this song: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=71JN9DO03Qw becomes DLC? I think it would be pretty hard because of the Auto-Tune on Jonathan Davis’ voice. It would create extra ripples in the pitch and make it more challenging. Who agrees?

This site has become a disappointment and is no longer a good RB news site due to its complete lack of updates. Someone truly dropped the ball here.
irish | Sep 21, 2008 | Reply
No DLC for PS2. I don’t know what else. You can check it out on Wiki.
Cyrus | Sep 22, 2008 | Reply
They will probably make another DLC Disc for PS2
ZED | Sep 23, 2008 | Reply
I checked wiki they stated no differences, and obvisouly the dlc thing, but rock band was stripped of EEEEVERYTHING except the songs, literally, I just want to make sure i kno wwhat I’m losing, if anything because it hasn’t been said at all, and with rb it was posted a lot thanks anyways

This site just needs to be shut down. The updates are laughable late and it seems to me that the site admin just doesn’t care anymore. This is an embarassment now.
irish | Sep 25, 2008 | Reply
Okay, that’s a bit extreme. It’s not bad, it’s just it’s been a little busy lately.
