While Rock Band 2 is getting a North American release in September, those in and around Australia will still be waiting for […]

Update: We’ve included an additional photo after the break below, it’s not as crisp but, it contains more of the drums.

Harmonix Developers in Time’s 100 Most Influential People. »

Alex Rigopulos, Eran Egozy, and the rest of Harmonix team were mentioned in Time Magazines annual issue of the 100 Most Influential People.
The Rock Band crew was included in Time Magazines annual issue for, one would guess, due to the enormous influence that their current project Rock Band has produced.  Not to mention some other […]

Def Leppard DLC features Live Tracks »

I just downloaded the Def Leppard DLC that became available yesterday and, to much surprise, the tracks “Rock of Ages” and “Photograph” are live versions of the songs, not master tracks.
Still excited to get Def Leppard for Guitar Hero, but I would have much preferred masters.
The new single “Nine Lives”, at least, is a master.
Would you have preferred […]

Full Bobby Kotick Interview »

Kevin Maney, the reporter at Conde Nast Portfolio Magazine who did the recent Bobby Kotick interview that caused great speculation in the gaming circles, has noticed the amount of attention the Guitar Hero part of the interview generated.
The interview that was printed was only a small part of what was actually said, so Maney has […]

Harmonix and MTV Games announced today that Mötley Crüe’s new single “Saints of Los Angeles”, from their upcoming album ‘The Dirt’, would be released through the video game Rock Band beginning April […]

Harmonix/Ea: No Shortage of Peripherals for Rock Band Euro Release »

From all the interviews he’s been doing over the last few days it would appear as though Harmonix’s Rob Kay is working overtime doing PR (or perhaps damage control given the Euro release of Rock Bands less than ecstatic response).
In an interview with TVG Kay confirmed that, unlike the U.S. release of Rock Band, there […]

Charlie Daniels thinks Guitar Hero is perverted »

Well it looks like Charlie Daniels, who originally wrote and performed “The Devil Went Down to Georgia” is not pleased about his song being in Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock because it’s possible for the Devil to win.
Daniels, who lost the rights to the song in a legal settlement, recently published an article on his webpage […]
