Guitar Hero Cheats
The following cheat codes can be used in Guitar Hero 3: Legends of Rock on the PlayStation 3 video game console.
A special note on Guitar Hero 3 cheats.
The codes below look a bit odd when compared to your usual PS3 cheats. These codes represent the colors on the guitar.
B = Blue
Y = Yellow
G = Green
R = Red
O = Orange
When two colors are listed together (like ‘BY’ for blue and yellow) then both colors must be strummed at the same time.
Also, pay special attention to the timing when entering these codes, it may take a bit of practice to get it right.
The following Guitar Hero 3 cheats are entered within the Options > Cheats menu of the game.
Air Guitar Cheat Code

Hyperspeed Cheat Code
Cheat Code: O, B, O, Y, O, B, O, Y
Effect: The gems come down the screen faster than normal
Performance Mode Cheat Code
Cheat Code: RY, RB, RO, RB, RY, GB, RY RB
Effect: The heads up display is disabled.
Precision Mode Cheat Code
Cheat Code: GR, GR, GR, RY, RY, RB, RB, YB, YO, YO, GR, GR, GR, RY, RY, RB, RB, YB, YO, YO
Effect: You have to be more precise when hitting the notes.
Unlock All Songs Cheat Code
Cheat Code: YO, RB, RO, GB, RY, YO, RY, RB, GY, GY, YB, YB, YO, YO, YB, Y, R, RY, R, Y, O
Effect: Unlocks all the songs in quick play.
Large Gems Cheat Code
Cheat Code: G, R, G, Y, G, B, G, O, G, B, G, Y, G, R, G, GR, RY, GR, YB, GR, BO, GR, YB, GR, RY, GR, GY
Effect: The gems appear much larger on the fretboard.
Easy Expert Cheat Code
Cheat Code: GR, GY, YB, RB, BO, YO, RY, RB
Effect: Expert mode is easier.
No Fail Cheat Code
Cheat Code: GR, B, GR, GY, B, GY, RY, O, RY, GY, Y, GY, GR
Effect: You can’t fail.
Unlock Every Item Cheat Code
Cheat Code: GRBO, GRYB, GRYO, GBYO, GRYB, RYBO, GRYB, GYBO, GRYB, GRYO, GRYO, GRYB, GRYO
Effect: Unlocks Everything, but note that you will not hear a sound when unlocking this cheat.
Note: it is recommended that you create a new band when you use this code, this way you will not have to purchase any of the songs, etc.
Guitar Hero 3 Unlockables
Through the Fire and Flames
To unlock this song, you must defeat Lou in the final guitar battle on any difficulty. The song will then be unlocked for all difficulties in the bonus song list.

To unlock these guitars, you must complete these tasks. You must complete these tasks in career mode.
