Guitar Hero: On Tour - Decades

Guitar Hero: On Tour - Decades is the recently announced sequel to the original Guitar Hero: On Tour for the Nintendo DS.

When Red Octane announced the game at the 2008 E3 conference they said that all Guitar Hero: On Tour games will be able to ’share’ songs with any future or previous ‘On Tour’s through the use of the DS’s built in Wi-Fi.

Release Date:

No official release date has been set, but Activision and Red Octane have said that Guitar Hero: On Tour - Decades will be released in the fall of 2008.

Gameplay:

Guitar Hero: On Tour - Decades will feature similar gameplay and game modes to the original Guitar Hero: On Tour with a few changes.

A new features for Guitar Hero: On Tour - Decades is that you will choose your storyline in your career path before you head out on stage choosing from either ‘Lead Guitar’, ‘Rhythm/Bass’, or ‘Guitar Duel’.

Guitar Hero: On Tour - Decades will also unlock the lower career difficulties if you start on a difficulty higher than easy. For instance, if you play the game on ‘Hard’, it will unlock your progress on ‘Easy’ and ‘Medium’ as well.

Tracklisting:Guitar Hero: On Tour - Decades will feature five songs from each decade in the game.  The tracks that have been released so far are from what Red Octane is calling the “Modern” decade and the “2000″ decade. 10 tracks in total have been announced so far.

From the “Modern” decade we get;

The All-American Rejects - “Dirty Little Secret”
Paramore - “crushcrushcrush”
Fall Out Boy - “The Take Over, The Break’s Over”
Foo Fighters - “The Pretender”
Smashing Pumpkins - “Tarantula”

From the “2000″ decade we get;

Linkin Park - “One Step Closer”
Seether - “Remedy”
Jimmy Eat World - “The Middle”
Red Hot Chili Peppers - “Can’t Stop”
The Darkness - “I Believe In A Thing Called Love”

Each “decade” has their own unique venue which has been styled to represent that era.
