Rock Revolution

Rock Revolution is an upcoming full band game that will be released for the Xbox 360, Playstation 3, Wii, and Nintendo DS. Rock Revolution is being developed by Zoe Mode and HB Studios.

Rock Revolution is being published by Konami who has plenty of experience in the rhythm game industry. It was Konami who published the first guitar and drum video games, GuitarFreaks and DrumMania respectively.

Rock Revolution is expected to be released in the last quarter of 2008.

Gameplay

Rock Revolution will be a full band music game, and will contain a guitar and drum set controllers. The Wii version of Rock Revolution will allow for “air” guitar and drumming while the DS version will feature “stylus gestures” for “rhythm matching”

The main gameplay mode in Rock Revolution will be the career mode, but the game will also feature Co-op and band multiplayer modes, as well as both online and offline versus modes.

Rock Revolution will feature a game mode where players can create their own songs, with up to 8 tracks, as well as a “Jam Mode” that will allow you to create tracks on the fly.

Controllers

Rock Revolution will, like Guitar Hero and Rock Band, use a 5 button guitar peripheral, as well as a drum set. Rock Revolution will not have vocals.

The Rock Revolution drum set will contain 6 pads and a drum pedal, making it the most “drum-centric” of the full band games.

Currently, the Rock Revolution guitar controller has not been pictured and it is not known whether the game will be compatible with guitar controllers already on the market.
